What the arrangement means on site

A suitable curve still needs a practical installation. Bring the pump, piping and motor access into the same layout review.

Pipeline fit

QIG uses a vertical inline arrangement. Compare the proposed connection dimensions and support requirements with the existing pipe route before selecting a replacement.

Vertical clearance

QDL / QDLS uses stacked stages below the motor. Check the complete assembly height and the space needed for installation, inspection and removal.

Inlet supply

Record the minimum available inlet condition as well as the normal condition. Confirm filling, venting and start-up requirements for the selected pump.

Pressure before and after the pump

The required pressure increase depends on the incoming supply. Minimum inlet pressure and changing water demand are as useful as the target delivery pressure.

Booster Pumps questions

How do in-line and multistage water booster pumps differ?
QIG uses a compact vertical inline arrangement. QDL / QDLS uses a vertical multistage assembly. Compare installation, liquid and inlet conditions, then match the required operating point to the applicable model curve.
Are QDL / QDLS pumps self-priming?
No. They are non-self-priming pumps. Confirm the inlet supply and the filling, venting and start-up procedure for the actual installation.
Can I choose from outlet pressure alone?
Include the available inlet pressure, required flow range and delivery conditions. The pump must provide the required pressure increase at the operating flow.
Are controls and standby pumps included?
The pump family does not define a complete package. Specify the required controls, pump quantity, standby duty and ancillary equipment so the quotation can identify the supply scope.
What is needed for a replacement booster pump?
Send the nameplate, existing arrangement photographs, connection and mounting dimensions, motor supply and operating duty. Keep the original control strategy and any changed water demand in the review.
