Build the selection around your duty

Hydraulic requirement

Normal and maximum flow, total dynamic head, liquid density and system curve.

Pressure envelope

Suction pressure, shut-off condition, pressure transients and allowable casing pressure.

Drive and sealing

Required speed, absorbed power, start method, seal-water availability and seal arrangement.

The supplied AM-family manual describes this high-head direction but has no independent numerical AMH model table. Request the selected model curve and pressure schedule.

Need a model-specific curve?

Provide the actual slurry and operating point so the proposed model, speed and material can be reviewed together.

High-Head Slurry Pump construction and operation

This high-head slurry direction is described in the AM-family manual for low-concentration slurry, or concentrated slurry with lower abrasiveness. It is intended for duties where the required head is a central selection constraint. The review must include suction pressure and maximum casing pressure as well as the normal differential head.

The original family discussion describes thick wear components and a substantial bearing support, but it does not provide a separate high-head model schedule. A selected curve, speed, material specification and working-pressure limit are needed before sizing a pump or driver. Do not use the ordinary horizontal slurry pump table as a substitute.

  • High-head duty reviewState normal, minimum and maximum flow with total dynamic head for each operating case.
  • Pressure-aware selectionInclude suction pressure, discharge transients and the proposed casing pressure rating.
  • Speed and wear considered togetherReview solids concentration and abrasiveness before choosing the operating speed.

Pump questions

Can pumps simply be connected in series?
Only after reviewing the pressure at each pump, seal and pipeline interface. The family manual discusses staged use within allowable pressure; it does not authorize an arbitrary number of stages.
How is the pump selected?
Start with flow, total dynamic head, slurry density, solids concentration and size, temperature, chemistry and installation. Review these together on the applicable curve.
Are the images dimensional drawings?
Catalogue drawings show the source construction. Family exterior references and illustrative components are labelled. Use the selected model’s approved arrangement drawing for dimensions and installation.
What is included in the quotation?
The selected supply scope, materials, interfaces, inspection requirements, spares and documents must be agreed in the quotation. An illustration alone does not define the delivered equipment.
What if there is no numerical table on this page?
Send the operating requirement for a model-specific curve review. A product introduction or family envelope cannot replace a selected pump curve.
How do I use this enquiry form?
Choose any model, installation and supply options above, complete the required fields, and prepare a draft. Review it before copying, downloading or opening it in your email application.
