High-Pressure Plunger Pumps

Liquid delivery for cleaning, descaling, testing and injection.

BBP high-pressure plunger pumps use reciprocating plungers for liquid delivery. Explore the equipment, working principle and original catalogue for your application.

High-pressure plunger pumps in detail

Explore the pumping head, power end and liquid connections. These equipment views help identify the main components and prepare an installation or replacement enquiry.

The pumping head handles the liquid; the power end provides reciprocating motion. Identify both areas when discussing the equipment or replacement components.

How the pump works

Reciprocating liquid delivery

The plungers move back and forth. Liquid enters the pumping head and is discharged into the pressure line as the plungers repeat their stroke.

Pumping head and power end

The pumping head contains the liquid passages and sealing components. The power end supplies the reciprocating motion. These two areas provide useful reference points when identifying the equipment or a part.

Pressure and flow together

An operating duty includes both pressure and flow. The original catalogue gives their relationship under stated operating conditions; a pressure value alone does not describe the amount of liquid delivered.

High-pressure pumping tasks

Industrial cleaning

High-pressure water for removing deposits from surfaces and process equipment. Pressure and flow depend on the cleaning task.

Steel descaling

Water delivery to the descaling stage in steel processing, where the pumping duty follows the line’s operating sequence.

Pressure testing

Liquid supply for a defined test procedure. Test pressure, flow and holding time describe different parts of the task.

Water injection

Water delivery into a receiving process. Water quality, inlet supply and receiving pressure define the service conditions.

Pressure and flow data

The original high-pressure pump catalogue contains the parameter tables, dimensions and application pages. Read pressure and flow from the same table condition, together with the stated plunger diameter and speed.

Plunger pump questions

What does a plunger pump do?
It delivers liquid using the repeated movement of plungers. This pumping principle is used for high-pressure cleaning, descaling, pressure testing and water injection.
Where can I find the technical parameters?
Open the original high-pressure pump catalogue on this page. The tables retain the operating conditions that belong with each pressure and flow entry.
Which operating details are useful for an enquiry?
The task, liquid, required pressure and flow, inlet supply, temperature and operating pattern provide a useful starting point. Include units and keep normal operation distinct from test or occasional conditions.
