Hydraulic duty
Provide the required flow, total head, water source, suction conditions and operating points. Review the selected pump and engine together.

Pump families
Compare two diesel firewater arrangements with a general diesel engine pump set for water transfer. The supplied brochure establishes these product directions; hydraulic performance, project compliance and equipment scope require a model-specific proposal.

A diesel-driven water-transfer set does not, by itself, establish compliance with a fire-system standard.
| Product | Arrangement in source | Confirm for the project |
|---|---|---|
| Split-Case Diesel Fire Pump | Split-case pump with diesel drive for firewater duty | Hydraulic duty, fire standard, engine, controls and acceptance records |
| Diesel Fire Pump with Jockey Pump | Fire-pump arrangement with pressure-maintenance pump | Main, standby and jockey duties; control sequence and package scope |
| Diesel Engine Pump Set | Engine-driven water-transfer package | Liquid, duty, operating cycle, driver and installation |
selection
Provide the required flow, total head, water source, suction conditions and operating points. Review the selected pump and engine together.
For firewater projects, identify the applicable standard, main and standby duties, acceptance documents and any required certificates.
Confirm starting method, fuel and cooling, control sequence, alarms, ventilation, exhaust and available maintenance space.
Share foundation and pipe layouts, site utilities, control interfaces, installation restrictions and the requested equipment schedule.
materials
Confirm casing and impeller materials against the selected pump, water quality and project specification.
Request the selected seal arrangement, seal-water requirements and maintenance access.
Check engine output, operating speed, cooling and coupling or transmission for the complete duty.
Define guards, alarms, starting, monitoring and any project-specific protection in the equipment schedule.
applications
Review FQS or FQW arrangements against the project firewater duty, system design and acceptance requirements.
The FQW brochure arrangement includes a jockey pump; define its separate pressure-maintenance duty and controls.
For irrigation, remote sites or emergency water transfer, compare the diesel engine pump set with the actual liquid and operating cycle.
manufacturing
Confirm pump materials, hydraulic end and sealing against the selected model and water quality.
Agree pump, driver, transmission, base, piping and auxiliaries in the package drawing.
Request the applicable performance and inspection basis for the quoted configuration.
Identify manuals, drawings, test records and any project-specific acceptance documents before ordering.
supply scope
Specify the pump, diesel engine and coupling or transmission with the required duty.
Confirm controller, starting equipment, fuel system, cooling and any jockey pump separately.
List base, piping, valves, instruments, guards and site interfaces in the equipment schedule.
documents
See page 24 for FQS and FQW, and page 37 for diesel pump-set matching. These are arrangement references rather than certified model performance data.
Open brochure page 24Request the selected performance curve, package drawing, engine and control schedule, inspection basis and applicable acceptance records.
Request documentsquestions
No. Confirm the applicable project standard, specified equipment, certification requirements and acceptance documents for the selected package.
No. A general engine-driven water-transfer set and a firewater package have different system requirements and controls.
The FQW brochure reference shows a jockey pump. Its duty and inclusion in a quotation still require confirmation.
enquiry
Send the hydraulic duty and system requirements so the team can confirm the suitable product, driver and package scope.
Include the duty point, site conditions, equipment schedule and acceptance requirements. We will use these to review the appropriate arrangement.
